BPM SAUDENE is our Trade Mark. Saudene is a prime grade polyethylene polymer powder characterized with excellent process ability, improved chemical resistance, high stiffness, excellent internal and surface finish.

SAUDENE PE is being produced based on SABIC prime grades for rotational molding with a minimum capacity of 800 metric-tons per month.

SAUDENE LLD 3505 U Powder (polyethylene rotational molding powder) is specially designed for rotational molded items such as water tanks, chemical tanks, containers, garbage cans, buoys and toys.

Important Use of Plastic Materials

USE OF PLASTIC IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
Plastics have been used widely in vehicle claddings to improve fuel efficiency by making vehicles lighter and reducing corrosion due to salt and water on metal surfaces. Although plastics have been used for decades both externally and internally, many automotive manufacturers have now switched to making bioplastics and polymers, instead of relying on fossil-based plastics, to improve their carbon footprint and promote sustainability. Below, we will look at the history of plastic vehicle cladding, and the increased use of plastics in vehicles over the past century.

USE OF PLASTIC IN BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION
The advantages of using plastic in construction are that it is lightweight yet strong which makes it easier to transport and shift around sites. It is also resistant to rot and corrosion and has strong weather ability due to it being capable of achieving tight seals. Plastic can also be flexible, and is easily extruded, bent, molded, 3D printed, and so on. Plastic can also be easily removed and some plastics can be recycled.

USE OF PLASTIC IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Plastics have been a part of the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry since their invention. The invention of various new plastic resins that have been considered safe for food-grade packaging makes it a valuable resource for the sector. Plastic packaging techniques have revolutionized the food market. The design flexibility, cost-effectiveness, lightweight, faster manufacturing, and longer shelf life make plastics and plastic packaging valuable within the sector.

USE OF PLASTIC FOR WATER TANK
Plastic/polyethylene water tanks are rotary moulded. The manufacturer’s steel canister mould is loaded with plastic granules or powder, closed off, and rotated over a heating source to melt the plastic. Once the plastic is melted and the canister has cooled, it’s opened to reveal the new tank.

Some steel canister moulds have flanges down the side to make it easier to remove the tank from the mould. Tanks made in these moulds will show a line where the mould joins, however, this is not a join in the tank – it’s still made in one “piece”.

USE OF PLASTIC FOR MAKING BOAT
Marine plastics, particularly polyethylene and polycarbonate, are resistant to all of the above conditions. Plastic for boats doesn’t require paint that can chip or bubble from long-term sun exposure. When used as bearings or joints, it protects the different sections of the boat from pulling apart, as opposed to metal staples that corrode over time. Marine Abrasion Resistant Acrylic also helps reduce the wear and tear on your boat from the waters you sail in.

Overall, if you want a material that can endure the elements better than any other, marine plastic is your top choice.

USE OF PLASTIC FOR PERSONAL CARE & COSMETICS
Plastic is one of the most polarizing topics in sustainability today, and each year continues to reveal more about its place in the beauty industry. Sustainability is a constantly evolving conversation and the rate at which plastic is produced, used and disposed of has long outpaced the research, technology and innovation needed to understand the consequences of our actions, making it quite challenging to gather data that’s specific to cosmetics. Yet, we do know that the volume of plastic which can accumulate during the process of making a single product is sometimes staggering – if you make cosmetics products for profit and are looking to grow, hardly any brand is exempt from the presence of plastic.
